River Bend Nature Center – You probably don’t want to explore the trails in the rain or snow, but you can explore the butterfly conservatory or check out seminars the nature center offers!
Head to the MPEC – Any given weekend, you can find activities inside!! Scan the MPEC calendar to see what’s happening!
Wichita Falls Public Library – Nothing says cozy like reading a good book while it’s raining. Head over to the library to find something to read… and possibly something to do. The library also offers events like book clubs, story times for children and much more.
Get Entertained – Both Backdoor Theatre and The Wichita Theatre are great places to stay dry, and stay entertained! Most weekends you can find performing arts on the stages of the Wichita and Backdoor Theatre. Or find an indoor concert coming up! Kemp Center for the Arts – If you’re an art lover, head over to the Kemp Center for the Arts. You can browse the work of their indoor galleries, or even check out what classes are coming up! The Kemp Center is open 7 days a week!
Explore a Museum – If you love art, trains, history or wrestling… Wichita Falls has a museum that will pique your interest.

- Museum of North Texas History (Saturday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.)
- Wichita Falls Railroad Museum (Saturdays 11 a.m.-3 p.m.) (This is outside, so be sure to call ahead (940)723-2661.)
- Wichita Falls Museum of Art at MSU (Saturday 1-5 p.m.)
- Pro-Wrestling Hall of Fame (Saturday 10 a.m.-7 p.m., Sunday 1-5 p.m.)
