Distance: 92.7 Miles
Plan your trip: Every month, Copper Breaks State Park hosts the StarWalk, a naked eye tour of the night sky followed by a closer look through telescopes and binoculars. Copper Breaks is an International Dark Sky Park.
Activities at the park include camping, picnicking, boating, fishing, mountain biking, swimming, wildlife viewing, backpacking, kite flying, summer educational/interpretive programs, astronomy, natural and historical exhibits. A portion of the official Texas longhorn herd is at the park.
Distance: 107 Miles
Davis, Oklahoma is home to Turner Falls Park, the location of the largest waterfall in Oklahoma. The park has picnic areas, nature trails, caves and two natural swimming pools. You can also zip line through the Arbuckle Mountains. A new attraction in Davis is the Caveman Museum – a collection of all things Harley Davidson!

Denton has lots of cultural amenities! You’ll find music, museums, arts, antiques, horse farm, shopping, sports, dining and festivals year round.

Plan your visit: The Food Truck Championship of Texas takes place in June in the Graham downtown square! Don’t forget a trip to the drive-in movie theatre, the perfect summer destination!
While in Graham, you’ll find boutiques, art galleries, restaurants and America’s Largest Downtown Square!

Plan your trip: Medicine Park hosts music festivals year round!
Other attractions include the Bath Lake Swimming Area along Medicine Creek. A charge of $2 a person per day. You can’t miss the historic Cobblestone architecture when you’re in town. You’ll also find great shopping and dining!

Plan your trip: Seymour’s Wild Pig Pedal is held each June. Get some practice for the Hotter’N Hell with a 6, 22, 45 mile or 100K ride!
Don’t miss the Whiteside Museum, especially if you have a dino lover in the family! You’ll also find the Baylor County museum, which offers free admission. While you’re there, be sure to see the Depression-Era WPA mural at the Post Office!

Saint Jo has shopping, unique dining at Ancient Ovens and wineries! Make sure you drive past The Running N Ranch — you’ll find larger than life sculptures including flowers and VW beetle ladybugs!

Plan your trip: On the second weekend in August, witness some of the finest classic cars and trucks at Summer’s Last Blast.
Don’t miss great restaurants, the Plaza Theatre, and the Red River Valley Museum. Birthplace of musician Roy Orbison, you can picnic at Roy Orbison Park which now includes an aquatic center, so be sure to bring your swimsuit!

Plan your trip: The Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge is nearly 60,000 acres where you can hike, check out the wildlife, picnic, camp and more! The refuge is home to more than 50 mammal, 240 bird, 64 reptile and amphibian, 36 fish, and 806 plant species. Take a trip to the top of Mount Scott for beautiful views of the entire refuge!
