Seance Reenactment & Haunted Tour at the Kell House
October 26 @ 10:00 pm - 11:30 pm$25
Peer through the Veil:
A Victorian Séance Reenactment
& Kell House Haunted Tour
In March of 1848, the Fox sisters ushered the age of Spiritualism into America with their claims that they could communicate with the Spirit World. Over the next 100 years, Spiritualism found its way into mainstream society and opened the door for mediums, mystics, and charlatans. This October, join the Kell House Museum and conjuror Ron Wilson as we explore the mesmerism, mentalism, and magic tricks employed by Victorian era spiritualists. Is it real, or is it an illusion? Only you can decide.
Your evening will start with a 10 p.m. haunted tour of the historic Kell House. We’ll discuss the myths, legends, and stories surrounding the 110-year-old home of Frank & Lula Kell, and share some of the findings from recent investigations. Then we’ll adjourn to the dining room, where our conjuror will perform a séance similar to those conducted by early 20th Century spiritualists.
Cost: $25 per person (includes Haunted Tour & Séance reenactment)
Space is very limited, and reservations are required. For more information, or to secure your spot, call the Kell House at (940) 723-2712. Online reservations are also available through squareup.com/store/wchs
