Parks & Recreation
Wichita Falls provides the perfect environment for residents and guests to enjoy the crisp Texas air and the wide-open Texas skies.
Whether the 178-acre Lucy Park along the Wichita River, the sports and outdoor complex at Kiwanis Park, Wichita Falls Skate Park, River Bend Nature Center, off-leash dog park or the Circle Trail, families here have plenty to choose from when they want to relax, play and explore. Wichita Falls is famous for its “Hotter n Hell Hundred” race, and the Wee-Chi-Tah Mountain Bike and Trail is becoming equally so. Many first time visitors are impressed with the 25,000 trees planted in the last decade, two community pool locations and landscaped medians maintained by the City.
Our Parks and Recreation Department offers a myriad of programs year-round that benefit our children and enrich the lives of our adults. For our senior citizens, the 50+Zone offers pool, dancing, card games, exercise class and other activities at the Recreation Center.
Please visit the Wichita Falls CVB website to learn more about detailed information about our recreational attractions.
