Nine Events We're Looking Forward to in March

Listed In: Community Stories, Events

There's no shortage of events coming up in March 2017 in Wichita Falls.  We've got fun, recurring events like hockey, indoor football, concerts on top of some amazing once a year festivities.  Here's a list of what we're looking forward to most and why.

Restaurant Week

March 6-10

We love our locally owned restaurants for adding special flavor to the city (pun definitely intended). This event gives an excuse to try them all again!! Plus, participating restaurants are offering specials and you can win gift cards to your favorite local eating establishment.

Guns and Hoses: Cooking For Kids

March 10 & 11

If you think you've got the best Margarita, Ribeye, Brisket, Chicken or Beans head down to P2 for Guns and Hoses: Cooking for Kids. The event will also feature music, great food and the best part is all the money raised goes back toward children's programs sponsored by the Wichita Falls Fire and Police associations

St. Patrick's Day Downtown Festival

March 11

It's time to go green and celebrate St. Patrick's Day in downtown Wichita Falls. This year, Downtown Wichita Falls Development is pleased to present Grammy nominated Bowling For Soup as the headline entertainment. On top of great music, there will also be great food and fun for the kids.

Lake Wichita Revitalization Dinner

March 16

The Lake Wichita Revitalization Committee is hosting an intimate dinner with conservationist Theodore Roosevelt IV.  Mr. Roosevelt has been very active aiding conservation groups and now he is coming to Wichita Falls to support the Lake Wichita Revitalization Project.

Gypsy Crawfish Boil

March 18

Looking for something different? Head downtown to the Gypsy Kit for a Saturday Afternoon patio party crawfish boil! This year, they're adding a pub run on to the event, so you can stick around and run off those (already negligible) crawfish calories.

Red River Wine & Beer Festival

March 25

It seems like Texas wines are getting positive attention all over the world. If you're a wine lover, don't miss your chance to sample more than 40 different Texas wines! And if wine's not for you, there's also a craft beer garden, live music, food, auctions and much more!

Wichita Falls Symphony Orchestra Presents Midtown Men

March 25

As original cast members of Broadway’s Jersey Boys, they took the world by storm. Now, you can see The Midtown Men in Wichita Falls performing "Sixties Hits with a Modern Twist." With guest conductor Jerry Steichen, the Wichita Falls Symphony is bringing us an exciting evening of music!

Sesame Street Live: Elmo Makes Music

March 29

This is one kids of all ages can look forward to!  Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Big Bird, and more come to the rescue and discover instruments they never knew existed. Tickets are available and on sale now!

Cowboy True

March 31 & April 1

Technically, we spill into April here, but the Preview Party on Friday night is a don't miss event. You'll be able to preview all the exhibits celebrating cowboy culture, enjoy hearty appetizers and dance the night away with Grammy Award winner, Jason Roberts, who spent nearly 20 years with Asleep at the Wheel!
