Learn the basics of knitting—how to cast on, knit, purl, and bind off—so that you will be able to knit a variety of projects. Students will supply a pair of size 9 short needles and 1 skein cotton yarn. Class is weekly for 4 weeks. ages 17 and up.

Now showing in the West End Studio: Artist Sally Struck’s history in quilting is apparent in her new exhibit, “Just My Imagination”. These small-scale collage and mixed media pieces are informed by the precise geometry and color manipulation of patchwork quilting, as well as a joy in sewing. Exhibit open free to the public during all Kemp Center business hours.

Gallery at The Kemp brings to life her background in horse training while highlighting her joy in observing nature, particularly birds and plant life.
